KONTEN CT-1002G

The KONTEN CT-1002G is an industrial Layer 3 managed PoE+ Booster Gigabit Ethernet switch with 10+2 ports, designed for reliable network operation in demanding industrial environments. Ten Gigabit Ethernet ports, eight of which support IEEE 802.3at PoE+, along with two additional 100/1G/2.5G SFP slots, offer system integrators and machine builders a compact network solution with Layer 3 routing functionality.

For users, the PoE+ capability across eight ports means cameras, access points, and other end devices can be powered directly through the network cable, significantly reducing cabling effort and installation costs. The integrated Power Boost function for PoE+ also enables powering devices over longer cable runs or with higher power demands, increasing planning flexibility during network installation. The Layer 3 functionality enables segmentation of larger networks into multiple subnets, significantly simplifying management and security in complex industrial facilities. The 2.5-gigabit SFP uplinks provide additional bandwidth headroom for growing data volumes on the network. Network redundancy through RSTP, MSTP, ERPS, and LACP ensures that in the event of a connection failure, traffic is automatically rerouted to alternative paths — an important advantage for facilities where downtime carries high costs. QoS functions via CoS and DSCP prioritize critical data streams, ensuring deterministic behavior for automation applications with real-time requirements. The USB storage function enables configuration-free device replacement during service, significantly speeding up maintenance work. The switch also supports the industrial automation protocols Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP along with a PoE PD Alive Check function that automatically restarts unresponsive PoE devices.

Thanks to its rugged construction for harsh environments and wide operating temperature range, the CT-1002G is ideally suited for factory automation and segmented industrial network infrastructures with extended PoE range.
