The Zebra AltiZ 4200 is a high-resolution 3D profile sensor for industrial machine vision, specifically designed for demanding inline inspection and measurement tasks. System integrators, machine builders, and industrial companies benefit from precise 3D data acquisition, high acquisition speeds, and easy integration into existing machine vision systems.
The sensors are based on laser triangulation and capture detailed height profiles, depth maps, and point clouds. With 4,224 points per profile, up to 14,000 profiles per second, and an overall performance of more than 42 million points per second, the AltiZ 4200 is particularly suitable for applications where fine structures, surface defects, or the smallest deviations must be detected reliably.
Thanks to its compact single-camera design, the sensor can also be integrated in limited installation spaces or on robotic systems. Support for 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, GigE Vision 2.23 with GenDC 1.1, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) enables fast plug-and-play integration into existing machine vision solutions. In combination with Zebra Aurora Software, Aurora Design Assistant, and Aurora Vision Studio, 3D data can be configured, visualized, and processed efficiently.
Typical application areas include the inspection of weld beads, adhesive beads, electronic modules, printed circuit boards, smartphone assemblies, batteries, and electric vehicle components. The robust IP67 aluminum housing with M12 connectors protects the sensor reliably in harsh industrial environments and supports continuous operation in modern Industry 4.0 applications.
