Expansion of the HEITEC Standard Enclosure Portfolio: New Versatile VPX System Platforms in 19-inch and Rugged Form Factors

Thanks to their compliance with VITA 46/65, the HEITEC VPX system platforms can be adapted to customer requirements through a suitable backplane configuration.

In addition to active cooling using high-performance fans within the system, the heat generated by the boards in a rugged VPX system can also be dissipated without fans.

In this case, heat is transferred directly from the boards to the enclosure, while the boards are also securely fixed within the system. Conduction cooling allows the system to be designed to be gas- and watertight, making it particularly suitable for very harsh operating conditions.
