The LUCID Vision Labs Helios2 Chroma (RGB-D) is a fully assembled and factory-calibrated 3D RGB-D camera for industrial machine vision and robotics. It combines a Helios2 Time-of-Flight 3D camera with Triton color camera sensing to generate precise color point clouds with spatial depth information. As the camera is delivered as a pre-calibrated unit, neither user assembly nor separate calibration is required. This reduces integration efforts when implementing industrial 3D vision systems.
The RGB-D camera offers a Chroma resolution of 640 × 480 pixels and uses Sony CMOS sensors. Depending on the model, different variants are available for specific requirements, including Helios2 Chroma, Helios2+ Chroma, and Helios2 Wide Chroma. The Wide variant features a field of view of 108° × 78°, while the Helios2 and Helios2+ offer a field of view of 69° × 51°.
With 1000BASE-T GigE and M12 connectors, the camera can be integrated into industrial network infrastructures. Support for Windows and Linux, as well as the Arena SDK and the C++, C, C#, and Python programming languages, facilitates integration into existing machine vision and automation systems. The compact housing measures 60 × 60 × 79 mm and is protected according to IP67, provided that appropriate IP67-rated cables are used.
The Helios2 Chroma is suitable for industrial and robotic 3D vision applications where color and depth data are required together. The pre-calibrated combination of a 3D Time-of-Flight camera and a color camera provides a compact platform for applications in industrial machine vision and robotics.
