The Konten EP-0500L is an industrial unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch specifically designed to provide reliable network connections in demanding industrial environments. With 5 Fast Ethernet ports (10/100Base-TX), the switch offers a stable communication solution for applications in industrial automation, machine control, building automation, energy systems and transportation technology. Supporting Auto-Negotiation and Auto-MDI/MDI-X, the device automatically detects the optimal transmission speed and cable configuration, enabling easy integration into existing Ethernet networks. The integrated Store-and-Forward switching technology checks each data packet before forwarding and ensures reliable, error-free communication even under continuous network operation.

The EP-0500L has been developed for long-term operation under harsh industrial conditions. Its rugged IP30-rated steel enclosure effectively protects the internal electronics against mechanical influences and makes it ideal for use in control cabinets and industrial control systems. With an extended operating temperature range of -40 °C to +75 °C, the switch ensures stable operation even in extreme temperature environments. The redundant power supply supports 12–48 VDC through two independent power inputs and includes integrated protection against overcurrent and reverse polarity. The space-saving DIN rail mounting enables quick and flexible installation in industrial environments.

With a 1 Gbps switching capacity, a 1,000-entry MAC address table, and a 448 Kbit packet buffer, the EP-0500L provides reliable network performance for industrial Ethernet applications. LED indicators for power supply, fault status and port activity allow quick diagnostics and simplify maintenance operations.
