The Konten IP-0101GD is an industrial PoE+ media converter designed to provide reliable connectivity between copper and fiber optic networks. It has been specifically developed for demanding applications in industrial automation, building automation, video surveillance and intelligent transportation systems. Equipped with one 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet port with PoE+ support and one 100/1000Base-X SFP slot, the device supports both multimode and single-mode SFP modules, enabling flexible integration into existing network infrastructures. The selectable 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps SFP transmission speed allows the converter to adapt to a wide range of fiber optic applications. Its integrated Link Fault Pass-Through function immediately detects link failures and forwards fault information to connected devices, simplifying troubleshooting and minimizing network downtime.

The IP-0101GD has been engineered for reliable continuous operation in demanding industrial environments. Its rugged SECC metal enclosure with IP30 protection safeguards the internal electronics against harsh environmental conditions. With an extended operating temperature range of -40 °C to +75 °C, the media converter is ideally suited for control cabinets, manufacturing facilities and outdoor industrial installations. The redundant power supply supports 48–57 VDC through dual power inputs and includes integrated protection against overcurrent and reverse polarity, ensuring maximum operational reliability. The device is designed for DIN rail mounting as standard and can also be wall-mounted using an optional mounting kit.

To improve system availability, the IP-0101GD features an integrated PD Alive function that can be enabled via a DIP switch. This function continuously monitors connected PoE-powered devices and automatically restarts them whenever they become unresponsive, reducing maintenance efforts and increasing the uptime of critical systems. Support for Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDI/MDI-X, and Store-and-Forward switching ensures stable and efficient data transmission. LED indicators for power supply, network link status and PoE operation simplify system monitoring and maintenance.
