Industrial Unmanaged PoE+ Ethernet Switch with 8 M12 Ports for Railway and Vehicle Applications

The Konten ET-0800L-M12 is an industrial unmanaged PoE+ Ethernet switch specifically designed to provide reliable network communication in vehicles, railway applications and other demanding industrial environments. Equipped with eight Fast Ethernet ports featuring M12 D-coded connectors compliant with the IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standard, the switch enables both data transmission and power delivery to compatible devices through a single Ethernet cable. This simplifies the integration of PoE-enabled network devices while reducing installation time and cabling requirements. The vibration-resistant M12 connectors ensure secure and stable connections, making the switch particularly suitable for mobile applications and environments exposed to high mechanical stress.

The ET-0800L-M12 has been developed for continuous operation under harsh environmental conditions. It complies with the EN50155 standard, making it especially suitable for railway systems and other mobile applications. Its rugged enclosure is rated IP40 as standard and is also available in an IP54 version. Combined with an extended operating temperature range of -40 °C to +75 °C, the switch delivers reliable performance even in extreme environments. Redundant PoE power inputs together with built-in protection against overcurrent and reverse polarity further enhance operational reliability while ensuring stable power delivery to connected devices.

For data processing, the switch operates using a Store-and-Forward architecture and provides a 1.6 Gbps switching capacity, an 8,000-entry MAC address table, and a 4 Mbit packet buffer. Auto-Negotiation and Auto MDI/MDI-X simplify integration into existing Ethernet networks and enable fast deployment. Each PoE port can supply up to 30 watts of output power, while the total PoE power budget reaches 165 watts with a 24 V input, or 60 watts at 75 °C, allowing multiple PoE-powered devices to operate simultaneously and reliably.

LED indicators for power status, port activity and PoE output make system monitoring quick and straightforward. The switch supports wall mounting and optional DIN rail mounting, allowing flexible installation in a wide range of industrial systems.
