EC900-8MM – Ultra-Compact Fanless Embedded System with NXP i.MX 8M Mini Processor

The EC900-8MM from DFI is an ultra-compact fanless embedded system designed for industrial automation, IoT, edge computing, intelligent control systems, and embedded applications. Powered by the energy-efficient NXP i.MX 8M Mini processor, it provides a reliable computing platform with low power consumption and rich I/O connectivity in a compact enclosure.

The integrated NXP i.MX 8M Mini processor features four ARM Cortex-A53 cores running at up to 1.8GHz, with integrated graphics and video processing capabilities. The onboard LPDDR4 memory is available in configurations of 1GB, 4GB, or up to 8GB. Storage options include up to 64GB eMMC and a MicroSD card slot.

For expansion, the EC900-8MM provides two M.2 slots: one M.2 E-Key 2230 for WiFi/Bluetooth modules and one M.2 B-Key 3042/2242 for 4G/LTE, 5G, or additional storage modules. A Nano SIM slot is also available for wireless communication solutions.

The system supports two Gigabit Ethernet ports, HDMI output up to 1920 × 1080 @ 60Hz, USB 2.0 interfaces, RS-485, RS-422, 4-bit DIO, and a programmable watchdog timer. With its 9~36V DC wide-range power input, fanless design, and optional extended temperature support, the EC900-8MM is ideal for reliable long-term industrial operation.
