OPT Hawk Series – Line Scan Lenses (Industrial Lenses)

The Hawk Series from OPT provides high-precision Line Scan lenses, specially designed for industrial imaging with line-scan cameras. These optics feature a high-resolution design with an image circle of Ø 63 mm and are compatible with modern line-scan cameras with pixel sizes of 3.5 µm (16K), 5 µm (12K), and 7 µm (8K).

With low total distortion (< 0.1 %) and high uniformity, Hawk lenses deliver sharp, detailed images across the entire field of view. The balanced relative illumination ensures consistent image quality with minimal vignetting—critical for precise measurement and inspection tasks.

Another advantage is the wide magnification range of approximately 0.21× to 2.1×, providing flexible usage for objects of varying sizes and working distances. Typical applications include contour and defect inspection of PCBs, FPC positioning, film and foil inspection, and barcode reading in high-speed production lines.

The series includes multiple models with different focal lengths and magnifications (e.g., OPT‑VHK98/3.9‑0.23X, OPT‑VHK116/4.3‑0.5X, OPT‑VHK120/5.8‑1.0X, OPT‑VHK116/8.6‑2.0X), each offering specific aperture ranges and performance characteristics.
