The Crocodile Series macro lenses from OPT are high-quality fixed focal length macro lenses specifically designed for high-precision close-range machine vision and inspection applications. They deliver excellent macro imaging performance with high magnification, making them ideal for tasks where fine detail detection and accurate measurements are critical.

These lenses cover a working distance range from approximately 47 mm to 412 mm, allowing them to support a wide variety of close-range inspection scenarios, from the inspection of very small components to visually constrained measurement tasks.

Crocodile optics feature a high optical resolution of up to approximately 145 lp/mm across the entire field of view. They are compatible with sensors featuring pixel sizes from about 3.45 µm and sensor formats up to Ø 19.3 mm (approximately 1.2″), ensuring sharp images and precise detail reproduction.

Another key advantage is the extremely low distortion (TV distortion < 0.1%, minimum < 0.02%), which ensures accurate, distortion-free imaging. This makes the Crocodile Series an excellent choice for high-precision measurement and inspection tasks in automated production and quality control systems.
