OPT-SL / OPT-SLS Series – Structured Lights (Standard Light Source)

The OPT-SL/OPT-SLS series from OPT includes high-quality structured lights – structured LED light sources for demanding industrial machine vision and measurement tasks. These lighting systems generate sharp, uniform light patterns that enable precise optical projection onto the object surface, making contours, height differences, and structures particularly visible.

The light sources are compatible with all C-mount lenses and feature adjustable back focus, eliminating the need for additional adapter rings. OPT-SL models project light perpendicular to the measurement surface for classic structured lighting, while OPT-SLS variants support angled illumination—ideal for applications where the light should not be orthogonal.

Typical applications include 3D analysis and reconstruction, measurement of complex structures or bends, height gauging of electronic components, and flatness inspection of products. Additionally, structured light patterns improve robot pick-and-place positioning and the detection of fine surface details.
