OPT-FL Series – Direct Backlights (Standard Light Source)

The OPT-FL series from OPT includes robust Direct Backlights and is part of the versatile standard light source range for industrial vision. These backlights are characterized by high light intensity and uniform illumination—ideal for applications that require strong, even backlighting for contour and defect detection. The models provide uniform light distribution with high homogeneity, resulting in consistent and precise machine vision results.

Thanks to the maximized usable luminous area, OPT-FL backlights are particularly suitable for use in limited installation spaces where large-area backlighting is still required. The light sources can be flexibly mounted from the front, back, or side, allowing adaptation to various inspection and measurement scenarios.

Typical application areas include measurement and inspection of mechanical parts, inspection of electronic components and IC packages, detection of films and surface contamination, as well as scratch detection on transparent objects.
