The Allied Vision Alvium GM2 is a high-performance GMSL2™ industrial camera specifically designed for embedded vision applications that require long transmission distances, high speed, and maximum reliability. Thanks to its GMSL2™ interface, it overcomes the limitations of conventional CSI-2 cameras and enables high-speed image transmission over long distances. Featuring a wide selection of high-quality CMOS sensors with global or rolling shutter technology, resolutions of up to 24.6 megapixels, and a robust enclosed industrial housing, the Alvium GM2 is ideally suited for demanding image processing systems in industrial environments.
The integrated GMSL2™ (Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link) technology provides fast, resource-efficient data transmission for embedded systems while ensuring reliable operation over extended cable lengths. Depending on the application, the camera is available with robust FAKRA coaxial connectors or HSD connectors for STP cables, making it suitable for both fixed installations and moving applications. Full EMC compliance and high resistance to shock and vibration ensure reliable performance in harsh industrial environments. Support for GenICam for CSI-2 Access, Video4Linux2, Vimba X, and open-source drivers for various embedded platforms enables rapid integration into existing development environments. In addition, two integrated GPIOs allow the connection of triggers or peripheral devices, providing greater flexibility for system integration.
The Alvium GM2 is particularly well suited for embedded vision systems that require fast image transmission over long distances, robust connectivity, and high reliability.
