OPT-RIPM Series – Multi-Spectrum Shadowless Ring Light (Standard Light Source)

The OPT-RIPM series from OPT includes innovative multi-spectrum shadowless ring lights—ring-shaped LED illuminators that combine multiple wavelengths (notably 405 nm (UV), 475 nm (blue), 530 nm (green), 590 nm (orange), 660 nm (red), and 850 nm (infrared)) in a single system. Each wavelength is evenly distributed across four segments and individually controllable, allowing flexible adaptation to various measurement and inspection tasks.

This light source achieves shadowless, homogeneous illumination designed for complex applications such as color recognition, 3D surface information extraction, defect detection on structured or reflective objects, and contour analysis of transparent materials. With multi-spectrum lighting, both color differences and surface structures can be precisely revealed, significantly enhancing the performance of camera-based vision systems.

Typical applications include quality inspection in the food and packaging industry, color difference control on reflective and transparent packaging, 3D defect detection (photometric stereo), and contour detection of transparent objects.
