- 1947
Incorporation of Fabrimex AG in Zürich by E. Oertli. First distributorship for capacitors from Rob. BOSCH for reactive current compensation.
- 1955/56
Fabrimex enters the realm of electronics when the company becomes a distributor for International Rectifier (USA) and Texas Instruments (USA). It expands its portfolio to become a leading provider in component distribution.
- 1978
aunch of in-house development of power supplies; export activities are intensified.
- 1979
Start of photovoltaic activities through a distributorship from ARCO-Solar (USA).
- 1982
Acquisition of Dr. K. Witmer Elektronik AG, Erlenbach, Switzerland's leading manufacturer of laboratory power supplies.
- 1986
Systematic expansion of our product line in the domain of systems through distributorships from Datacube (USA), Xycom (USA), and Oettle Reichler OR (Germany).
- 1990
Incorporation of CAC-Fabrimex GmbH. Intensification of market servicing activities for power supplies in Germany.
- 1992
The component distribution business is sold to Spoerle Electronic. Fabrimex refocuses on 4 business units:
- Solar
- Systems
- Power supplies
- Energy management and EMC
Transformation from a pure broadband distributor to a specialized engineering services firm.
- 1994
Headquarters and all business units are moved to a location in Volketswil near Zürich.
- 1996
Certification of our Quality Management Systems pursuant to ISO 9001.
- 1997
Management buyout of the Solar Business Unit.
- 1998
Launch of volume production of industrial PCs for OEMs in Switzerland.
- 2001
Incorporation of FABRIMEX FAR EAST Ltd in Taiwan for IPC and display procurement and for international distribution.
- 2003
Management buyout of the Energy Management Business Unit.
- 2005
FABRIMEX AG is split up into two legally independent companies

FABRIMEX SYSTEMS AG for industrial PCs and image processin
- 2006
Fabrimex Far East in Taiwan; we have been successfully supplying industrial customers both into and from Europe directly from Taiwan for 5 years
- 2009
Start of collaboration with SVS – VISTEK from Germany for GigE cameras used in the industrial sector
Contract with LANNER INC. Taiwan for compact industrial PCs
- 2010
Start of collaboration with CONGATEC from Germany in the field of embedded computing (COM Express, Q7, XTX form factors)
